Media Briefing: As African Union Chair, has president Robert Mugabe proved a political leadership d
OVERVIEW:
In August 2014, Zimbabwe assumed the position of Chair in the Southern African Development Community (SADC). Five months later, Zimbabwe also became Chair of the African Union (AU). Meanwhile, president Robert Mugabe’s leadership has been continuously brought into question given the apparent failures to deal with a crippling crisis in his own country.
What message does this kind of leadership say about the state of both SADC and the AU? Indeed, what does it say about political leadership in Africa?
Please join the Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition (CiZC) for a media briefing on the above as well as other key regional developments.
